ENFIELD, Conn. — Officials say two people died in two separate house fires in Connecticut.

Fire officials say one person was killed in a blaze that broke out in an Enfield home around 2 a.m. on Friday. Officials say another person was able to get out safely and firefighters rescued three other people from the home. The three people were taken to the hospital.

Officials say one person also died in a house fire in Meriden on Thanksgiving morning.

Authorities did not immediately release the identities of the two people who were killed or the possible cause of the fires.
