SALT LAKE CITY — Authorities say a woman responsible for a fatal hit-and-run was drinking alcohol while driving.
KUTV reports that a probable cause statement shows that suspect Roxanna Molina acknowledged to police that she had several shots and beers before driving to a party.
Unified Police said in a news release Thursday that the 27-year-old Molina was driving an SUV when she struck a man crossing the street in Taylorsville late Wednesday night. Molina was arrested running from the scene.
Molina has been booked on suspicion of automobile homicide, leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence.
It’s unclear if Molina has an attorney. There was no listed phone number for her.
The victim hasn’t yet been identified.
