BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Authorities say the three people found dead in a Bellingham home Monday died by homicide and suicide.

The Bellingham Herald reports Bellingham Police Department spokeswoman Lt. Danette Beckley said Tuesday the victims are 43-year-old Tanya Rowe, her 5-year-old son Benton, and her husband and the boy’s father, 45-year-old Kevin Rowe.

Beckley hasn’t said if a weapon was used or who was the killer.

She said the public isn’t in any danger and no suspect is being sought.

A letter from the Bellingham School District says Tanya Rowe was a longtime director of communications for district and that she previously worked at Western Washington University and at the Bellingham Herald.

Beckley says police responded Monday afternoon to a home in the Cordata neighborhood for a welfare check and found the bodies.
