HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Two men died from gunshot wounds inside a Huntington Beach apartment after police received a distressed call from inside the home.

The Orange County Register reports Huntington Beach Police Department spokeswoman Officer Angie Bennett says police responded to the call Sunday afternoon and found two men in their early 20s deceased.

Bennett says officers recovered a handgun at the scene, and based on the initial evidence, they don’t believe there is a suspect on the loose.

Bennett says police have not ruled out a murder-suicide.

Police had not released the identities of the deceased as of late Sunday.
