DECATUR, Ill. — A 48-year-old man has been found shot to death in the backyard of a Decatur house.

The (Decatur) Herald & Review reports that the body of Todd Daniel Feldkamp of Effingham was discovered Saturday night by police responding to a call of shots fired in the area shortly before 9 p.m. Police say they also found a wounded 25-year-old Effingham nearby. That man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for what police describe as “serious but non-life-threatening injuries. —Police have not released the man’s name.

Police declined to provide further details and said on Sunday morning that no arrests had been made.

Feldkamp is the ninth homicide victim in the city this year.
