A local VFW post is hosting a party to honor veterans who served in the Vietnam War.
Greenwood VFW Post 5864 will host the party at 6 p.m. Saturday at the post, 333 S. Washington St., in Greenwood.
Any Vietnam veteran, or veteran from another war, whether a member or not, is invited to attend.
The VFW, through the Department Of Defense’s Vietnam War Commemoration partnership program, is working in local communities to recognize the sacrifice, service and tremendous contribution Vietnam War veterans made to our nation.
This year, those arriving or leaving South Vietnam in 1967 will be honored.
