To the editor:
I recently attended a city council meeting which covered the topic of the new FedEx building that is in the process of being approved and then built.
I see it as a great opportunity for the community to increase its ability to help those in the city. There are some drawbacks, of course, to any such thing, such as traffic, since their will be a possibility of at full capacity having and extra 1,000 jobs added to the city of Greenwood, and much more foot and road traffic to and from and through this area.
But there are positives as well, like the money the state will make from this and also the local government, which can then use the money to regulate this traffic and make the city more beautiful than it already is. In my opinion we should go for it.
