SHERIDAN
Lorna L. (Kephart) Wheat, 73, passed away Saturday Nov. 11, 2017 in Noblesville. She was a resident of Sheridan and a former lifelong resident of Bargersville.
Lorna was born Jan. 10, 1944 in Bargersville to late Eugene and Rose Mary (Dorrell) Kephart.
She graduated from Center Grove High School, class of 1962.
Lorna married Wendell M. Wheat on June 27, 1963 in Greenwood; they were married for 54 years.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was a member of the Bargersville Eastern Star and Johnson County 4-H.
Lorna loved spending time with family and grandchildren and she loved her cats.
She is survived by her husband, Wendell Wheat of Sheridan, her two children, Candie (James) Davis of Sheridan and Chris (Kelly) Wheat of Greenwood, brother, Larry (Kathy) Kephart of Whiteland, and six grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday Nov. 16, at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 N. U.S. Hwy 31. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
