VICKSBURG, Miss. — Authorities say a suspect has been arrested in a fatal shooting in Mississippi.

WLBT-TV reports 22-year-old Corey Maxie Jr. was found shot to death Sunday by police responding to a disturbance call in Vicksburg. Officers found Maxie laying in the middle of the street and witnesses told police the shooter had fled.

Vicksburg police said 31-year-old Rico DeMichael Hay was arrested at his home a few hours later on murder charges.

It was not immediately known if Hay had an attorney to represent him. The suspect was scheduled to make his first appearance before a judge Monday.
