FRESNO, Calif. — An official says five people were shot outside a home in the central California community of Malaga and that investigators believe the shooting is gang related.

Fresno County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brad Gattie says investigators believe the shooting was retaliation for a fight that happened around noon Sunday at nearby Malaga Park.

The Fresno Bee reports none of the five people shot Sunday evening have life-threatening injuries.

The victims weren’t immediately identified.

Gattie says witnesses told investigators that a passenger stepped out of a small black car that pulled up in front of the home and shot the five victims who were all outside at the time.
