College update – November 11

Kicker Griffin Oakes recently moved into the second spot on Indiana University’s football career scoring list.

The redshirt senior, a Greenwood High graduate, sits at 331 points entering the Hoosiers’ game today at Illinois.

In IU’s recent 45-17 loss to Wisconsin, Oakes made a field goal of 26 yards and two conversion kicks. For the season, Oakes is 12 of 13 on field goal attempts to go along with 24 touchbacks on kickoffs.

Greenwood

Senior running back Kole Stogner scored a rushing touchdown and added three receptions for 65 yards for the Franklin College football team in its 63-17 win against Anderson.

Freshman Dylan Rosado carried the football four times for 53 yards in Quincy’s 42-14 loss to McKendree.

Park Point (Pennsylvania) enjoyed a recent three-match win streak, with libero Morgan Dangelo totaling 41 digs in the victories. The Pioneers concluded the regular season with a 21-13 record.

Indian Creek

Defensive back Brenden Smith contributed three tackles and his third interception of the season as the Marian University football team recorded a 62-0 shutout of visiting Missouri Baptist. Smith now has four picks in his career to go along with 101 tackles, three blocked kicks and a fumble recovery.

Freshman Tim Abel scored five points in his collegiate debut for the Cincinnati Christian men’s basketball team, playing 18 minutes in a 107-85 loss at Marian.

Center Grove

Freshman libero Macy Carrabine produced 12 digs and two assists as the Denver University volleyball team extended its win streak to seven with a four-set victory against Nebraska-Omaha. In the Pioneers’ previous match, the former Center Grove player finished with six assists in a 3-0 sweep of visiting Oral Roberts.

Middle Tennessee State setter Taylor Hammill finished with a total of 62 assists as the Blue Raiders lost consecutive matches to Austin Peay and Western Kentucky. Hammill also had four kills, nine digs and a service ace in the two losses.

Illinois State volleyball player Ali Line totaled 13 kills, a block and two digs as the Redbirds scored consecutive 3-0 wins against Valparaiso and Loyola (Chicago).

Marian linebacker Baily Bennett continued his impressive freshman football season with four tackles in the Knights’ 62-0 shutout of Missouri Baptist.

Redshirt freshman receiver Joey Siderewicz secured one catch for 27 yards for Franklin College in its win against visiting Anderson.

Indiana State freshman Titus McCoy finished with 10 rushing yards on five carries in the Sycamores’ 66-24 loss to Youngstown State.

Dillon Dallas, a senior defensive end for the University of Indianapolis, was credited with a tackles in the undefeated Greyhounds’ 43-34 victory against Missouri S&T. Clay Hadley and Jordan Bedan started on the offensive line for the Greyhounds.

Edinburgh

Elliott Parmer had a catch for three yards for the Franklin College football team. The Grizzlies handily defeated Anderson, 63-17.

Whiteland

Franklin College linebacker Nick Ratti recorded four tackles in the team’s win over Anderson University.

Franklin

Evansville volleyball player Addie Payne had three kills and three digs in a loss to Northern Iowa and two kills and two digs in a loss to Drake.

Georgia State outside hitter Morgan Hash produced totals of six kills and six digs in losses to Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State.
