MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Tennessee man has been convicted of killing a mother and her adult son and trying to kill his ex-girlfriend.

The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office said 60-year-old Charles Burrow was convicted Wednesday of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and other charges.

Prosecutors say 59-year-old Jodie Davis and her 39-year-old son Michael Davis were shot to death in their home on Oct. 12, 2015.

Burrow’s girlfriend said she was hiding in a closet and heard the victims shout his name just before they were shot. She said Burrow then opened the closet, pointed the gun at her and pulled the trigger. The gun did not fire.

Burrow faces life in prison at sentencing scheduled on Dec. 14.
