FAIRHAVEN, Mass. — A truck carrying 3,000 gallons of sewage crashed on a Massachusetts highway and spilled all over the road, closing it for hours.
Two people were hurt in Thursday’s crash on Interstate 195 in Fairhaven.
Authorities say the truck carrying septic tank sewage crashed with a pickup truck and rolled over around 3:30 p.m.
All westbound lanes were closed during the cleanup and did not open again until 10:30 p.m.
The victims were taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Their names were not immediately released, but state police said they were both expected to survive.
