Letter: Rich ‘bulldozers’ need to be stopped

To the editor:

We Americans are living in a libertarian, reality show nightmare produced and directed by the Koch Brothers and their billionaire colleagues, including Donald Trump.

Those of you who stayed away from the voting booth last fall helped elect a government of the billionaires, by the billionaires and for the billionaires. The billionaire juggernaut is already bulldozing every law, regulation, executive order and ethical decision that helps or protects ordinary people. Of course they tell us “How great it’s going to be, you just trust us and our magical free market.” Meanwhile they manipulate the laws and regulations to line their own pockets. Wishful-thinkers and the free press would do well to remember that you cannot negotiate with the driver of the bulldozer. He does not see you, hear you or care about you.

The bulldozers need to be stopped and smashed before they smash everything in their greedy way. The bulldozer supporters are not about to change their minds. It is up to every level-headed Republican, Democrat and Independent to lay down their knives and band together to stop the juggernaut.

If the bulldozer driver gets to appoint another Supreme Court justice there may not be another time to stop the destruction of the America that is supposed to be “of the people, by the people and for the people.”
