A Center Grove area man was taken to the hospital after accidentally shooting himself at his home Saturday morning.
Emergency workers were called to a home in the 700 block of Happy Hollow Court in the Carefree subdivision just before 7:30 a.m.
They found a man lying on the ground, bleeding from his leg. He told police he was getting his gun out of the center console of his truck and accidentally shot himself in the leg, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.
The man was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for treatment.
