Local bank names new chief financial officer

Lydia Brown has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer for Home Bank.

Brown joined the bank in 2010, most recently serving in the role of vice president and internal auditor.

Brown has a bachelor of science degree in accounting and finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and will complete an MBA from Ball State University in 2018. She also has an Indiana CPA license and is a member of the Financial Manager’s Society.

New pediatric office opens in Whiteland

WindRose Health Network has opened a pediatric office in the Johnson Memorial Health building, on the corner of U.S. 31 and Whiteland Road.

Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Thursday and Friday.

The office is taking new patients.

Post commander takes national role

Greenwood VFW Post 5864 Commander Steve Milbourn was named a National Aide-de-Camp to VFW National Commander-in-Chief Keith Harman.

An Aide-de-Camp acts as an assistant to a military official.

Milbourn served in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division in Phan Rang, South Vietnam. He returned to Indiana in October 1967.

He has served as a Post Commander, VFW County Council Chairman and District Commander and has received several appointments from the state and national VFW.
