NEW WHITELAND
Jimmy Carl Poore, 81, of New Whiteland, passed away on Monday Oct. 30, 2017 in Franklin.
Jimmy was born in Oxford, Alabama on July 29, 1936 to John Jasper and Lilly Myrtle (Shortnacy) Poore.
He married Judith Pruitt on Nov. 27, 1964; they were married for 52 years.
Jimmy was employed as a machinist at Allison Division of General Motors for 34 years, retiring in 1996.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and target shooting at Camp Atterbury.
He was a member of the Muzzle Loader Reenactment Club and the Conservation Club.
He loved his family and spending time with grandchildren.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Judith Poore of New Whiteland, two children, Raymond ( Tina) Poore of Michigan and Katrina ( Joseph) Blair of Greenwood, a brother, Raymond E. (Mary) Poore of Alabama, four grandchildren, Joseph B. Blair, Tanya Thibodeaux, Destiny Akins and Felicia Poore and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents and seven siblings.
