PITTSBURGH — Fire officials say an SUV crashed into a Pittsburgh library’s community room, injuring a woman inside.

Emergency crews went to the Whitehall Public Library Thursday night to find the SUV had smashed through the glass wall of the library. The vehicle was entirely inside the building.

A number of people were inside the community room at the time.

Officials say one woman was taken to a hospital with a head laceration.

The circumstances of the crash weren’t immediately released, or if the driver will face charges.

There is structural damage to the library. It’s unclear when it will reopen.
