Fifth person arrested in plot to mail drugs

A fifth person has been arrested in what investigators described as plot to mail drugs to the Johnson County jail.

On Tuesday, Kristina M. Kessinger, 28, 502 S. Holmes Ave., Indianapolis, was arrested on a charge of dealing methamphetamine.

Kessinger is the fifth and final person arrested in the plot to mail drugs to the jail, Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox said.

Investigators learned through phone calls and visits to the jail about a plan to mail methamphetamine into the jail in a greeting card. Investigators got the card from the post office before it could be mailed to the jail, according to police reports.

Four other people, Briannan Severado, 23, of Greenwood, Kyle Godbold, 21, of Greenwood, David Creasey, 31, of Indianapolis, and Lyle Greene, 30, of Indianapolis, were all arrested on a charge dealing in methamphetamine.

Holmes was taken to the Johnson County jail, where she was held on $13,200 bond.
