A man told police he fired a gun in the air in a Center Grove area mobile home community after an attempted break-in.
Just after midnight Monday, sheriff’s deputies were called to Center Grove Estates off County Line Road on a report of an attempted break-in.
A resident reported finding two men trying to get into her locked back door. She got her son, and he went to find the men, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.
The son told police he found the men in the neighborhood and ordered them to stop and that police were coming. The men didn’t stop, and he fired into the air, the report said.
Deputies did not find the men, and did not find any damage from the shot fired, the report said.
