GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man has been arrested in the shooting death of a man at a North Carolina mall earlier this year.

The News & Record of Greensboro reported 25-year-old Tedrick Lithonia McClary of Wilmington is being held in the New Hanover County jail.

McClary is charged in the May 4 shooting death of 34-year-old Sherrod Maurice Crum at a mall in Greensboro. Police say Crum was shot by someone in a passing car.

It was not known if McClary has an attorney yet. Police have not released a motive in the shooting.

He also faces federal drug and weapons charges in New Hanover County.

Crum’s death was the second at the mall in three months. No arrests have been made in a February shooting death at the Four Seasons Town Centre.
