GREENWOOD
Georgia (Kasting) Deaton, 68, of Greenwood, IN, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis, IN. She was born March 8, 1949 in Franklin, IN. to Lynn and Ruth (McCoy) Kasting.
She was a graduate of Franklin Community High School. She had worked for the State of Indiana Excise Tax Department. She attended the Community Church of Greenwood, Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, and GracePoint Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Adria Deaton of Indianapolis, IN., grandson Wesley Deaton of Greenwood, granddaughter Alexis Deaton of Indianapolis, a sister Nancy Corsaro of Indianapolis, beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother L. Mack Kasting on July 20, 2010, and former spouse Anthony “Tony” Deaton on August 10, 2002.
Pastor David Shadday will conduct a service Friday, November 3, 2017 at 7:30PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin where friends may call from 5PM Friday until the 7:30PM service at the mortuary.
A private family graveside will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franciscan Health Foundation Central Indiana 5255 East Stop 11 Road Suite 245 Indianapolis, IN. 46237 attention Hospice House or at www.franciscanalliance.org.
