HENRIETTA, N.Y. — Police say two people have died and a state trooper has serious injuries after a crash on Interstate 390 near Rochester.

Police say a Nissan Altima heading south on I-390 in Henrietta just before 9 a.m. Monday veered across the median and hit an unmarked police car. A state police lieutenant was driving it to work.

Troopers say the two people in the Altima were killed. Their names were not immediately released but police say they were a man and woman in their mid-20s.

The injured trooper was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Troopers say she’s in stable condition.
