TOWNSHEND, Vt. — State police say the remains of two people have been found inside a log cabin in Townshend that was heavily damaged by fire.

The remains were found Friday morning after fire swept through the home. State police say the remains have not been identified. They’ve been taken to the medical examiner’s office in Burlington for autopsies.

The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined. An investigation is continuing.
