FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Police say a worker found a man’s body near the base of a crane at a construction site in downtown Fort Wayne.

Emergency workers were called about 4:30 a.m. Friday to the Skyline Tower site, where the man was pronounced dead. Police say the man suffered multiple injuries but didn’t immediately know whether foul play was involved.

The construction site is surrounded by a six-foot tall chain link fence. Work began about a year ago on the Skyline Tower, which is planned as a 12-story building with apartments, offices and retail space.
