Michelle Nicole “Nikki” Thomas-Kirch

Michelle Nicole “Nikki” Thomas-Kirch, 42, of Colorado Springs passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 in Hendricks County. She was born in Franklin, Indiana and the daughter of the late James and Marilyn Blackwell.

Nikki graduated from Franklin High School (92) and Franklin College (96) then attended Indiana University in 2000 to receive her Master’s Degree in Clinical Practice Social Work. In Nikki’s own words, “Most valuable experience for my professional preparation, self-created internship working under psychiatrist and psychologist at Butler University Counseling Center…If you can envision it, you are capable of creating it.”

Nikki loved to go horseback riding, enjoyed music and her kids were the love of her life. In Nikki’s younger years she would barrel race. Nikki was a great writer and had such a wonderful way with words.

Nikki is survived by her fiance, Mark Taylor, three sons, James Thomas, Jack Kirch and Wyatt Kirch and four sisters Andrea Colvin, Robin Stier, Rebecca Seal and Debbie Wemmer.

A celebration of Nikki’s life will be held Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. with a service will be at 2 p.m. with visitation afterward at Life House Church, 1550 East Tracy Road, Whiteland, IN 46184.

In lieu of flowers please make donation to Mainsource Bank (Rebecca Seal, Michelle Nicole Thomas Kirch children’s fund) for her boys’ education fund.
