SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. — South Burlington’s Public Library hopes to open a transitional location in the city’s local mall by the end of the year.

Library Director Jennifer Murray says she’s excited for the new location and cannot wait to open up. Murray tells Local 22 News that bookshelves will be arriving the first week of December and hopefully it will be ready to open by the end of the month.

City Public Information Officer Coralee Holm says the move is pre-funded and the transitional space for the library will be used for three years.

After that the library will find a permanent, stand-alone location.

The new library will have wireless internet, a kids’ area and computers.
