The unemployment rate in the county is down from last month and last year.
In September, the Johnson County unemployment rate was 3 percent, which was down from 3.4 percent in August, according to data from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
The unemployment rate is also down from the same time last year, when the rate was at 3.3 percent, the report said.
The Indiana unemployment rate rose to 3.8 percent in September after being at 3.5 percent in August. But the statewide rate is down from 4.3 percent in September 2016, the report said.
