Hearts to Dr. Charley Barnes, Dr. Paul Janis, Dr. Holly Vaught, Dr. Samantha Weaver and the volunteers from Grace United Methodist Church for donating your time and services for our 2017-18 District-Wide Vision Day. We appreciate your involvement in our community to ensure healthy vision for our students. Thanks to your efforts, we were able to screen 400 kindergarten students.

To the Whit’s Inn family, friends and community of Whiteland: a huge shout-out and thank-you, all the way from Florida. It breaks my heart that I can’t be there for my dad during his time of need but it is so heartwarming to see the community coming together for him. It delights me to witness the amount of lives he’s touched and to know that others see the man that I know and love as my dad. It has amazed me at just how many friends he has; how many people are behind him, rooting him on and aiding in his road to recovery. So thank you all for loving the man I love so dearly, my dad, Mac Deputy.

Anastacia Snow

Deland, Florida

Hearts, hearts, hearts to the best neighbors in the world, Jayme and John Spruill. I had no water because of work on my well. They hooked up hoses and let me use their water. You can’t get a better neighbor than that.

Wanda Long

Franklin

Hearts and hearty congratulations to the Franklin Community Middle School seventh-grade football players, coaches and cheerleaders for their hard work and dedication to practice. All of this work resulted in an undefeated season and a conference championship! Parents, grandparents, other family members and friends loved cheering you on.

Hearts, thanks and congratulations to Maribeth Alspach for all of the work she put into our Habitat for Humanity team Almost Home. Since our team formed in February she has not slowed down and has pushed us, encouraged us and helped us to far exceed our goal. As with everything she does, she committed to this cause wholeheartedly and did not stop until every last bit of work was done. She is amazing.
