• 400 block of Main Street: A woman reported at 2:09 p.m. Tuesday that her daughter’s tablet was stolen from her vehicle.
• 2800 block of U.S. 31 North: A woman reported at 2:11 p.m. Tuesday that someone stole her son’s bicycle.

Battery

1100 block of North State Road 135: Police responded at 3:32 p.m. Tuesday to a report of battery.

Theft

Target, 895 S. State Road 135: Police responded at 2:23 p.m. Tuesday to a report of theft.

Residential entry

1400 block of Glen Canyon Drive: Police responded at 1:46 p.m. Tuesday to a report of residential entry.

Attempted crime

600 block of Trent Drive: A man reported at 12:14 p.m. Tuesday that someone damaged a lock on his door.

Criminal mischief

1600 block of Honey Lane: Police responded at 3:03 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a damaged windshield.

Shoplifting

Von Maur, 1251 N. U.S. 31: Police responded at 9:11 p.m. Tuesday to a report of shoplifting. A woman was arrested.

Johnson County

Theft

1300 block of Runyon Road, Greenwood: An employee of a company reported at 8:03 a.m. Tuesday that someone broke onto company property and stole items from trucks.

Fraud

6400 block of North Hurricane Road, Whiteland: A man reported at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday that he received a call from a man purporting to be from the IRS asking for money. The call was fraudulent.

Shameka Talice Benjamin, 31, 1255 Rohn Drive, Auburn; arrested on a charge of residential entry; held on $1,200 bond.

Carla M. Crist, 47, 5121 Irving Court, Indianapolis; arrested on charges of theft/receiving stolen property, false identity statement and an out of county warrant; held without bond.

Michael D. Newton, 41, 1815 Roberts Road, Franklin; arrested on charges of neglect of a dependent and maintaining a common nuisance; held on $2,400 bond.

Crystal Renee McClintic, 41, 90 N. Indiana St., Bargersville; arrested on charges of neglect of a dependent, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine/narcotics, possession of a controlled substance and trafficking with an inmate;  held on $9,100 bond.

Larry Joe Nicholson, 56, Whiteland; arrested on charges of domestic battery and criminal recklessness; held on $2,400 bond.

David W. Hoagland, 32, 4388 Gainesville Drive, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of restricted use of a drug injection device; held on $1,200 bond.

Kristin Mae Smith, 26, 5410 E. Minnesota St., Indianapolis; arrested on an out of county warrant; held without bond.
