HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. — A former guard at a Pennsylvania county prison has been convicted of sexually assaulting a nurse two years ago.

Former Blair County Prison guard Paul Keefer, of Duncansville, is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 22 after being found guilty Wednesday.

Keefer was accused of inviting the woman into the room where he was working, grabbing her breasts, forcing her to touch him and refusing to let her leave. Prosecutors say the assault ended when another employee came to the room looking for a key.

Keefer’s attorney says there was not enough evidence for a conviction. He is considering an appeal.

Prosecutors say surveillance video shows the woman outside the room where Keefer worked, but there is no video of the encounter.
