A local school official is leading a talk on school finance.
Jeff Mercer, executive director of finance for Franklin Community Schools will lead the Franklin Chamber of Commerce Public Affairs presentation from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at Franklin Community High School, 2600 Cumberland Drive.
Mercer will introduce the mechanics of school finance, share school finance facts, review public school fiscal health and share what the normal can look like in public education.
