Max W. Biszantz

GREENWOOD

Max W. Biszantz, 87, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, October 13, 2017. He was born to the late Adam and Lucy Biszantz.

Max did many things in his long life which includes, owning and operating B&S Asphalt Paving Company and working for Conrail Railroad as a yard conductor. On September 1, 1951, Max married the love of his life RildaMae Black in Indianapolis. He is a United States Army veteran. Max enjoyed going on long trips with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Max is survived by his wife of 66 years, RildaMae Biszantz; two sons, Warren (Kathy) Biszantz of Paoli and Larry Biszantz of Greenwood; daughter, Debbie (Ed Brown) Benham of Bedford; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl Biszantz; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Charles Biszantz and John Biszantz; two sisters, Katherine Ruble and Mildred G. Gerbofsky; a granddaughter, Sarah Biszantz; and a great-grandson, Logan Biszantz.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel. Services will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood with full military honors.

Arrangements are entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel.
