John David Butler Sr.

FRANKLIN

John David Butler Sr., 50, of Franklin, IN, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Greenwood Health and Living Community in Greenwood, IN.

He was born March 18, 1967, in Delaware, Ohio to Reverend James D. Butler and Rebecca C. (Anderson) Butler. He was a graduate of Monroe Central High School in Parker City, IN. He had been an over the road truck driver for thirty years having covered most of the continental United States. He enjoyed old cars, trucks, and watching Ice Road Truckers.

Survivors include two sons, John David Butler Jr. of Branson, MO and Bryant Scott Butler of Plainfield, IN; a daughter, Ariel I. Butler Lamb of Branson, MO; parents, Reverend James D. and Rebecca C. (Anderson) Butler of Franklin, IN; sister, Pastor Mary Loring (Mark) of Chelsea, MI; four grandchildren, Asher Halbmaier, Cuira Halbmaier, Lilly Lamb, and Charlie Lamb; one niece, Sarah Loring; and one nephew, Eric Loring.

The Reverend Jenothy Rather will conduct a service on Friday, October 20, 2017, at 11:30 A.M. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31, (Morton Street), in Franklin, IN, where friends may call from 10AM till service time at the mortuary.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
