FRANKLIN
Ryan Douglas Deskins, 36, of Franklin, passed away on Wednesday, October 11.2017, in Franklin. He was born on April 16, 1981, in Indianapolis, to Doug and Rita (McKay) Deskins.
He worked as a plumber, for C M P Trades. Ryan loved the outdoors, especially going fishing and sitting around the campfire. He enjoyed the cabin, in Brown County. Ryan was mechanically wise and was a hard worker.
Ryan is survived by his daughter, Kandace Virginia Rose Deskins of Trafalgar and his step-daughter Morgan Danielle Ayers of Indianapolis; his parents, Doug and Rita Deskins of Franklin; his sister Jessica (Nick) Baxter of Greenwood; his grandmother, Donna Hartkoph of Franklin; and his niece and nephew, Isabelle and Gabe Baxter. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his addiction; he battled it courageously for 23 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First Financial Bank, in Franklin, for his daughter Kandace.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank McKay, and his grandparents, Arthur and Willetta Deskins.
The family will be hosting a memorial service at 1:00p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 N. U.S. Hwy. 31.
