Donald Ralph Mundorff

Donald Ralph Mundorff, 86, passed away on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 at his residence in Franklin.

He was born on October 1st, 1931 in New Richmond, Indiana. His parents were Sam and Grace (Fruits) Haire. Don married Patricia L. (Norton) on December 24th, 1951. Don is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Pat; their three children, Beverly Jo Mundorff; Donald Douglas (Dee) Mundorff and Timothy Scott (Meg) Mundorff; grandchildren, Melissa (Blake) Howard; Gaelan Mundorff and Emma Mundorff and great-grandson, Harrison Howard. He was preceded in passing by his parents and sister, Mary Elizabeth Mundorff.

He attended school in New Richmond, Indiana. Don was a 1953 graduate of Franklin College.

Don was employed by Arvin Industries in Purchasing. After retirement, he worked for Dr. Walton at Eye Specialists of Indiana in Transportation. He worked until he was 80 years old.

He was a faithful member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church. He was an Eagle Scout and in college, belonged to Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was a member of the Franklin Sertoma Club where he served as President in 1980. Don was an avid golfer and enjoyed working outdoors. He enjoyed talking and reliving his memories of his childhood in New Richmond, Indiana.

Rev. Brandon Jolley will conduct a Celebration of Don’s Life on Friday evening, October 13th at 6:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation for family and friends on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to time of service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
