TUCSON, Ariz. — The American Civil Liberties Union’s Arizona affiliate is opening an office in Tucson.

The ACLU of Arizona says staff attorney Billy Beard will be based in the Tucson office, which the organization says will extend its reach and allow it “to better preserve and defend the civil liberties of residents in southern Arizona.”

The ACLU of Arizona’s main office is in Phoenix.
