Just how misunderstood is Frankenstein? Museum hosting discussion, movie

A discussion about a famous monster will proceed a tale about him.

“Misunderstood Monster: The Changing Interpretations of Frankenstein” will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Johnson County Museum of History, 135 N. Main St., Franklin.

The group will discuss story the by Mary Shelley, contrasted with how the story is viewed in cinema and popular culture.

Refreshments will be served at the museum and the night will wrap up with a viewing of “Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein” at the Artcraft Theatre.

The presentation and movie are free; however, RSVPs should be made by Wednesday.

The event is part of the HYPStory Program at the Johnson County Museum of History, which is a group for young professionals.
