Franklin

Shoplifting

• Walmart, 2125 U.S. 31 North: A loss prevention officer reported at 4:13 p.m. Friday that a woman attempted to steal from the store.
• Phillips 66, 400 E. Jefferson St.: An employee reported at 8:23 a.m. Sunday that a man put several packages of candy in his pocket and attempted to leave. When police searched him, they found a DVD and colored pencils that the man told the officer was taken from another convenience store. The man was arrested.

Thefts

• 2800 block of U.S. 31: A man reported at 1:33 p.m. Friday that he was missing tools.
• Branigin Boulveard and East Jefferson Street: Police responded at 1:24 a.m. Saturday to a report of a man stealing a street sign. 
• Circle K., 349 U.S. 31 North: An employee reported at 4:23 p.m. Saturday that a juvenile stole condoms from the store.

Personal-injury accident

6:55 a.m. Monday — State Road 135S and Demaree Road. Allison Burgdorf, 29, Columbus, Michael Gardner, 45, Greenwood. Both drivers reported chest pain. Passenger Kali Pacek, 5, Greenwood, had abdomen/pelvis pain.

Property-damage accidents

• 8:47 a.m. Monday — Worthsville and Averitt roads.
• 1:50 p.m. Fry Road and U.S. 31 South.
• 3:21 p.m. Friday — State Road 135N and Stonegate Drive.
• 2:59 p.m. Friday — Smith Valley Road and Library Park Drive.
• 7:20 a.m. Friday — County Line Road and Emerson Avenue.

Fraud

3600 block of Woodland Streams Drive, Greenwood: A woman reported at 8:59 a.m. Monday that she received a call from someone purporting to be from the sheriff’s office. The call was fraudulent.

Theft

8000 block of S. Nineveh Road, Nineveh: A man reported at 11:42 a.m. Monday that someone stole four beers from the store.
