Cash, credit cards taken from vehicles at Kelsay Farms

Cash and credit cards were stolen from two vehicles parked at a Whiteland farm Saturday afternoon.

Windows on two vehicles parked at Kelsay Farms were broken between 4:30 and 6:10 p.m., with about $10 in cash stolen from one vehicle and a purse with a bank card, credit card, keys and ID stolen from a second vehicle, a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report said.

Employees at Kelsay Farms saw a black Chrysler 300 enter the parking lot, drive slowly across it and speed off, the report said.

Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox is cautioning people against leaving items in their vehicles, and suggests either taking them with you or leaving them in the trunk.
