Linda Lou Preddy Rosebrock

GREENWOOD

Linda Lou Preddy Rosebrock, 75, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 6 2017. She was a lifelong resident of the southside of Indianapolis.

Born August 17, 1942 in Beech Grove, IN to the late Henry and Selma Preddy, she was a 1960 graduate of Southport High School and a 1961 graduate of Central Beauty College. Linda enjoyed her career as a hairstylist, and cherished time spent with her family, especially their family trips to Sanibel Island.

Linda was a 52 year member of Center United Methodist Church; was active in the Center United Methodist Women and Memorial Committee. She was a lifetime ladies auxiliary member at the Greenwood VFW 5864 where she was in charge of Saturday Euchre Club.

A league bowler, she held memberships with the Franklin US Bowling Association, Franklin Men’s Bowling Association, Franklin Women’s Bowling Association and was selected as the Franklin WBA Woman of the Year and into the Franklin WBA Hall of Fame. She served as past president of the Franklin WBA and USB Franklin 600 Club

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Rosebrock in 1990. They worked together at the family produce farm in Whiteland for many years.

Survivors include her children, Melissa Rosebrock (Mike Mickey), Jennifer (Lester) Crouch and Elizabeth (Jeff) Flagg; three grandchildren, Anthony Chamberlain, Allen Crouch, Amy Crouch; 2 step grandchildren, Lauren Mickey, Hannah Mickey; siblings, James (Marilyn) Preddy and Deborah Jean (Richard) Owens.

Visitation will be observed from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9 at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue and from 10-11:00 AM Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Center United Methodist Church,5445 Bluff Road, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood VFW No 5864, 333 S Washington St, Greenwood, IN 46143.
