NEW HARTFORD, Conn. — Connecticut State Police say a vehicle has hit and killed a pedestrian.

It happened early Sunday in the town of New Hartford. Police say the driver was traveling westbound when she hit the man in the roadway.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died of his injuries.

The pedestrian is being described as a 30-year-old man with brown hair and a cross tattoo on one arm. Police are asking anyone who may know the identity of the pedestrian to contact troopers.
