Area children set up lemonade stand to raise money for homeless

A group of Greenwood children will be selling lemonade today to raise money for the homeless.

Kennedy Walker, 6, Drew Mader, 6, and Mitchell Mader, 9, will have a stand set up from 10 a.m. to noon at the corner of Oak Meadows Court and Oak Meadows Lane in Greenwood. The neighborhood is on the east side of Averitt Road, between Main Street and Smith Valley Road.

In addition to selling lemonade, they also will have cookies and gently used toys available for sale.

All of the money raised during the sale will go to making care packages for the homeless in Indianapolis.
