EVERETT, Wash. — Authorities say detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male in Everett.

Everett police say officers responded just after 5 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a gunshot at an apartment complex.

Police say arriving officers found a boy who had been shot outside the building.

Police say the juvenile was taken to an Everett hospital where he died from his injuries a short time later.

Major Crimes Unit detectives are investigating to develop suspect information.

Police say no suspect had been identified as of Wednesday night.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine cause and manner of death as well as identity.
