WILLISTON, N.D. — A collision in the North Dakota oil patch involving a semitrailer and a sport utility vehicle has killed an 83-year-old Williston man.

The Highway Patrol says the man drove his SUV into the path of the semi at a U.S. Highway 2 intersection north of Williston about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The man was declared dead at a Williston hospital. He wasn’t immediately identified.

The semi driver wasn’t injured.
