FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Police in Flagstaff have arrested a 69-year-old man in connection with a road rage shooting.

They say William Frost is being held on suspicion of aggravated assault in Coconino County Jail.

The Flagstaff resident was taken into custody Thursday in the shooting of 21-year-old William Cummings on Tuesday.

It’s unclear if Frost has a lawyer yet.

Cummings, of Flagstaff, reportedly was shot in the face after a road rage incident in the Railroad Springs neighborhood on Northwestern Street.

Police followed up on leads and learned a suspect matching the description of the man involved in the shooting lived in the Flagstaff area and identified Frost as a potential suspect.

They say Frost was identified by the victim and arrested.
