COMPTON, Calif. — Four people have been charged with a gang shooting where a stray bullet killed a 1-year-old Compton girl.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says one man was arrested Wednesday for the February 2016 killing of Autumn Johnson, and the other three were already in prison on unrelated charges.

Prosecutors say a gang member opened fire on a Compton home before fleeing in a car. The stray bullet plowed into the garage apartment and struck Autumn in the head as she stood in a crib.

The man arrested Wednesday and two others are charged with murder and attempted murder. A fourth man is charged with being an accessory after murder.

Two were being held in California for burglary and one is imprisoned in Nevada on a weapons charge.
