PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A camel that had lived at Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence for more than two decades has died.

The zoo announced the death of the dromedary camel named Gina in a Facebook post on Monday .

The camel was born in 1995 and had been at the zoo since 1996. The zoo described her as a fan favorite and said she was beloved by staff and volunteers.
