SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — A Massachusetts district attorney says a former high school teacher previously convicted of raping a student has been charged with two new counts of child rape.

The Republican reports Donald Cushing was scheduled be arraigned Tuesday on two counts of aggravated rape and abuse and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child.

The Hampden district attorney’s office says the assaults happened between 2006 and 2011. The victim was not Cushing’s student.

Cushing is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence after pleading guilty in 2012 to raping a 15-year-old girl in the closet of his Chicopee High School classroom.
