CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Up to a foot (30.5 centimeters) of heavy snow fell in parts of southeast and western Wyoming.

The National Weather Service posted winter storm warnings Monday for the Laramie Mountains, the Snowy Range and Sierra Madre Mountains in southeast Wyoming.

No unnecessary travel was advised Monday on Wyoming 130 in the Snowy Range.

Up to a foot of snow fell in the area.

Elsewhere, Laramie received about 5 inches (12.7 cm).

The snow caused some slick road conditions and reduced speeds along Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne.
